Despite the fact I'm a lousy blogger (I never seem to find the time, and I certainly don't have the storytelling capability of someone like Pete Strobl who instantly captures the imagination) I decided the best way of achieving what I'm looking for was to start this blog in order to track my monthly "hatchet day" on Sellaband. That way, those who are interested can find out all about what I'm up to and why, but I don't have to shove it in the faces of people who might not be interested.
I have two basic ideas with this blog:
1. To provide a hatchet day report (1st of every month) which covers the following items
- Who I've added and removed parts from and why
- To promote some of the artists on my belief list, that I see as "stuck" with no obvious reason why
- To highlight artists I've noticed (whether they are on my belief list or not) that are worth a look because they are around and updating, rather than being part of the "inactive" crowd.
- To show some of my potential interests for future belief.
With so many artists to choose from on the site, I hope this can help people weed out the "inactive" from the "interested".
2. To give the occasional report on something of interest on Sellaband from my point of view in order to try and attract more people into at least finding out about the site. This would fall into one of the following areas
- Past events and my experience with the site
- My view on new developments within the site
- Ongoing problems and prospects
- My "vision" of what Sellaband is really about
There's always something bugging me, whether it be with an artist or with Sellaband itself. Hopefully this will let me get a few things off my chest and give others something to think about.
So, if there's something about Sellaband that you'd like the knifelady to give a public opinion on, here's your opportunity! I've got quite a few subjects that have been bugging me a while, that I hope to be commenting on in the coming weeks and months, but I'll also be interested in finding out what you, the reader, would be interested in hearing me talk about with relation to Sellaband.
So stay tuned for the next post, which should give you a good idea of what the majority of my future posts will look like. I can only hope you find something useful here.
